Shakopee greenhouse records, 1956-1985.

Files on the greenhouse operated by the Agriculture Department on lands owned by the Women's Correctional Facility in Shakopee from 1958 to 1985. The greenhouse was a multi-purpose facility to conduct testing and survey projects for the department. The files primarily document construction of the greenhouse (1957-1958), acquisition and leasing of the surrounding land, and termination of the Shakopee testing station; there is some general information on the station's operations and projects. Included are greenhouse plans (ca.1956-1957), maps of the property and test plots, and photographs of the greenhouse (1985).
